A Surat yarn house since 1990
Win Star Industries Private Limited was incorporated in Surat on 3 July 1990. 36 years on, it is still a family business, run by the Rathod family.
How it started
The company was registered in 1990 to trade in yarn in Surat, a city that has woven and traded textiles for centuries and grew, in those years, into India's largest centre for synthetic fabric. Since then it has supplied the weavers and knitters of the city with the polyester and other yarns they work with.
Making our own yarn
Over time we added our own production at Kim, north of Surat: crape twisting for georgette and crepe, and air-texturising for ATY. Making these ourselves lets us hold a quality steady for the customers who weave it.
The group
Win Star Industries Private Limited is joined by Winstar Yarns and Winstar Fabrics. Together they buy, make and sell yarn for weavers, knitters and traders in Surat and across India.
