Linen and fancy yarn
Our fancy yarns are linen blends and slub yarns in 10s to 30s, spun at SpinVision in Silvassa: cotton-linen, Tencel-linen, modal-linen and viscose-linen, and slub versions of viscose-linen and cotton-linen. Linen brings strength, coolness and a natural lustre; slub adds the irregular, hand-made look.

Why linen blends
Linen, from the flax plant, is one of the strongest and lightest natural fibres. It absorbs moisture and dries fast, so linen fabric feels cool and breathes, and it has more lustre than cotton. Blending it with cotton, viscose, modal or Tencel softens the hand and makes it easier to weave.
Slub yarns
A slub yarn is spun with deliberate thick and thin places along its length. Woven or knitted, it gives fabric a textured, uneven surface, the look buyers want in linen-style shirting, kurtas and home furnishing.
