Crape yarn is polyester filament yarn given a very high twist, so that the woven fabric shrinks and puckers into the grainy, matt crepe or georgette surface. We twist it ourselves at our factory in Kim, near Surat, and supply it to weavers on cones.

Air-textured yarn, or ATY (often called Airtex in Surat), is filament yarn blown through a jet of compressed air so that its filaments form tiny loops and tangles. The result looks and feels more like spun yarn, with more bulk and cover, but keeps the strength of filament. We make it at our factory in Kim.

We supply cotton and blended spun yarns in 12s to 60s English count, spun at SpinVision, the mill in Silvassa we run in partnership. The range covers 100% cotton, polyester and viscose, their blends such as PC, PV and CVC, and cellulosic yarns of modal, Tencel, lyocell and bamboo.

Our fancy yarns are linen blends and slub yarns in 10s to 30s, spun at SpinVision in Silvassa: cotton-linen, Tencel-linen, modal-linen and viscose-linen, and slub versions of viscose-linen and cotton-linen. Linen brings strength, coolness and a natural lustre; slub adds the irregular, hand-made look.

Polyester filament yarn is made of long continuous polyester fibres. It is sold as POY (partially oriented yarn, the base for texturising), FDY (fully drawn, smooth and lustrous) and DTY (draw textured, crimped for stretch and bulk). We supply all three, along with bi-shrinkage yarn, to weavers and knitters.

Nylon yarn is filament yarn made from polyamide. It is stronger and more elastic than polyester and takes dye brilliantly. Nylon monofilament, a single fine filament, gives the clear, glassy effect used in embroidery, lace and net. We supply bright nylon mono and filament qualities.

Spun yarns are made by twisting short fibres together, so they feel softer and more natural than filament. We supply viscose yarns, polyester spun yarn (PSF) in English counts such as 30s and 40s, and speciality yarns such as muga silk and dyed tussar effect for sarees.
